Find the number on the back of the original slider
Does your broken zip slider have a number engraved on the back?
If it does, you don’t need to measure your zip, this number tells you the slider size you need.
Match our sliders to your zip using the table below.
Number 3 = slider size 3
Number 4 = slider size 4
Number 5 or 7 = slider size 5
Number 8 = slider size 8
Number 10 = slider size 10
Here’s how to measure your zip slider if there’s no number on the back of your zip.

Measure the width of the teeth with the zip closed
Using a tape measure or ruler, measure the width of the closed teeth, don’t include any fabric (as shown below).
Find the right slider size for your zip according to the type of material the teeth are made from. You’ll know this if you've completed step 1.
For example: If you have a metal zip with a tooth width equal to 5 mm, you should order the size 5 replacement slider for metal teeth.
NB: If you cannot close the zip to measure the width of the zip teeth, use one of the other methods to work out the slider size you need.
