Finding the right slider for my motorcycle jacket zipper:
To find the correct part number, you need to measure the width of the teeth when they are meshed together.
Here are a few tips:
- If you still have the original slider, measure the width of the slider's interior; this corresponds to the width of the teeth when closed.
- Still looking at the original slider, check the back; there is often a number accompanied by one or two letters. This number indicates the slider size. For example, if "5S" is marked on the back of your slider, you can deduce that it is a size 5. Next, identify the type of zipper teeth (not the jacket fabric)—whether they are coil (nylon), metal, or plastic.
You can also use our reference chart, which is available for download and printing. It illustrates how the teeth interlock and shows the actual sizes, allowing you to compare it with your zipper and identify the correct reference.
